A Spanish version of CollaboRATE is currently undergoing testing for use in US-based clinics. A similar effort is underway in Norway with a Norwegian version of the measure. A Dutch version is in progress as well and a German translation should be in the works soon.
Assessment of CollaboRATE continues in our rural primary care clinic test site. Our efforts are two-fold. First, we want to learn the best way to deliver CollaboRATE. Having used paper surveys and a patient portal, we are now testing response rates to automated phone messages. (We will test the final delivery method, text messages, this spring.) Simultaneously, we are studying the ability of CollaboRATE to reliably assess key aspects of the patient experience. Dozens of providers and scores of patients are generously contributing to this effort. Their openness and willingness to support this research has been humbling.
